Northern Valley Regional High School, Old Tappan, New Jersey
proudly presents our 49th All-School Musical Production on March 2, 3, & 4, 2012

You are cordially invited to the Wedding of the Year!

The year is 1985.

Ronald Reagan is in office. Back to the Future and The Breakfast Club top the box office. TVs are tuned
to The Cosby Show and Miami Vice. Nintendo and Cabbage Patch Kids are on every kid’s wish list and new machines called CD players are playing favorite hits from Madonna, Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi.

And in Ridgefield, New Jersey, an aspiring songwriter has become everyone’s favorite wedding singer until he is stood up at the altar at his own wedding and, devastated, becomes every newlywed’s worst nightmare. He meets a kind-hearted waitress who shows him the possibility of a kind of true love he never imagined. The only problem is she’s engaged to a Wall Street rising star. Unless the singer can pull off the performance of a lifetime, the girl of his dreams may disappear forever.

Based on the hit Adam Sandler/Drew Barrymore romantic comedy, The Wedding Singer promises to be in your heart
from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, until death do you part.

Director and designer John Housley once again joins conductor Curt Ebersole, vocal music director
James Ruck and the entire staff of last year’s sold out production of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast.

An Information Meeting for any students interested in joining the cast or crews will be held on Tuesday,
September 20, 2011. Auditions for the show will be held on November 14, 15, 16, 17, 2011. Tickets go on sale December 1st.

MATTHEW SCOTT (NVOT Class of '00) recently starred opposite Tom Wopat, Vanessa Williams, and Broadway legend Barbara Cook in SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM at The Roundabout Theatre. Though this is Matt's third Broadway show, this is the first role he has originated. The original cast album is currently on sale. When Matt was a student at Northern Valley he won three consecutive Paper Mill Playhouse Rising Star Awards for Best Actor. One of those awards was for Franklin Sheppard in Sondheim's MERRILY WE ROLL ALONG. It's a role he is reprised in SONDHEIM ON SONDHEIM. When rehearsing for that show, Matt was introduced to Stephen Sondheim by listening to legendary cast albums of his shows. Matt has made history and now will be on one of those albums. Congratulations, Matt. You can find out more about Matt's current and future shows at his website: matt-scott.com.
